Dr Vipin is best known for building the eyeSmart EMR, an award-winning Electronic Medical Record and Hospital Management system which is operational across the entire LVPEI network. He's been named among the top 35 innovators under 35 years in the world on the 2012 list by MIT. He is a TED senior fellow.

A Nehru-Fulbright Scholar, Ashutosh was placed at The Ohio State University and The University of Rochester for research, before joining LVPEI. His interests are in the areas of Corneal Biomechanics, Finite Element Modeling and Optical Instrumentation.

PROJECT LEADS
Sandeep is a Mechanical Engineer from VIT Chennai. He is an innovation-technology enthusiast, with inclination towards impact design. His interests lie in scalable technologies and frugal innovations. Currently he is working in the areas of imaging systems and mechanical designing.

Ashish is a multi-disciplinary creative and strategist. His work focuses on strategizing the solutions from the need to deployment with a unique blend of customer experience, technology, and social impact. He keeps a multifaceted eye on the user's needs while approaching the problem to ensure the solution is comprehensive and well accepted.
Ashish carries a unique experience of leading projects, working with multi-disciplinary teams, from ideas to manufacturing. He led an award-winning project Folding Foropter which has now reached 18+ countries.
His heart lies in iterative prototype development, computational design, material and process exploration, product visualization, and generative design.
In his spare time, you will either find him cycling around the city or watching thriller dramas or defending his philosophy.

Juhi is a biomedical engineer, with a master's degree from Johns Hopkins University and a bachelor's degree from SASTRA University. Her primary interest is designing and prototyping wearable/portable medical technologies for post-operative and post-discharge patient monitoring. She leads application of virtual and augmented reality in medical screening and education here at LVPEI.

Nabeel is a User Experience Designer. His work involves not just interacting with designers, but also Doctors, Engineers, Developers, and Users.
Having lived in many national and international cities has resulted in him exploring and absorbing the different cultures, ideas, and social behavior.
Nabeel enjoys reading up on the domain of UX Design and loves to listen to music, play football, collect memoirs and clean up my place, and a bit of cooking!
The meaning of design has been ever-evolving for him, but what kept constant is logical thinking plus empathy for the user.
Nabeel has worked at Smartivity Labs, Delhi, and the Center for Innovation, L V Prasad Eye Institute, Hyderabad.

Koteswararao is our former embedded applications engineer at the LVPEI Center for Innovation, presently he is pursuing Masters in Embedded Systems at Technische Universiteit Delft (TU Delft). His interests lie in developing interface systems and applications. He is an electronics graduate from VIT Chennai and his interests are in image processing and 3-D Computational systems.

Dhruv is the former Technical Head of the Center, presently pursuing a graduate degree in Management Science and Engineering at Stanford University. He is a full-stack developer with a keen interest in how artificially intelligent systems will disrupt management and business processes in the future. Dhruv is extremely passionate about translating technologies out from the lab to improve the quality of life of the masses.

Dr. Premnandhini has worked as a postdoctoral fellow in the field of vision rehabilitation at Schepens Eye Research Institute, Harvard Medical School. Her current research interest at LV Prasad Eye Institute (LVPEI) is in the area of pediatric vision rehabilitation, visual development in children with vision impairment and binocular vision.

Associate Director of Optometry, LVPEI
Dr. Bharadwaj is a vision scientist at LV Prasad Eye Institute. His current research focuses on how infants, children and adults use their focusing and eye-alignment responses to achieve a clear and single vision and why some individuals develop abnormalities like eye-turn and lazy eye, while other age-matched controls do not.

Dr Vaddavalli is an active member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Society for Cataract and Refractive Surgery, the International Society of Refractive Surgeons, the Cornea Society and the All India Ophthalmology Society and is founder, executive committee member of the Cornea Society of India. He has devised innovative modifications in lamellar keratoplasty and is involved in research projects in the field of keratoconus, lamellar keratoplasty and refractive surgery.

Head of Cataract & Refractive Service, LVPEI
In addition to heading the cataract and refractive services at LVPEI, Dr. Reddy is an Adjunct Asst. Prof. of Ophthalmology at School of Medicine and Dentistry, University of Rochester Medical Center, Rochester, New York. He is also the member of the Cornea Society, which includes only top 150 corneal surgeons from across the world. His research interests lie in the areas of Laser Keratorefractive Surgery (LASIK,SMILE, PRK), Phakic IOLs (ICL), Laser Keratoplasty (PK, FALK, DALK), Lamellar Keratoplasty (DALK, DSAEK, DMEK), Femtosecond Laser Assisted Cataract Surgery (FLACS) and Premium IOLs (Toric, Multifocal, Extended Depth of Focus)

Consultant, Oculoplasty, Ocular Oncology, Orbit, Facial Aesthetics
Dr. Tarjani completed her Post-Doctoral Fellowship in Ophthalmic Plastic Surgery, Orbit, Ocular Oncology and Facial Aesthetics from L V Prasad Eye Institute, Hyderabad. She has worked as Consultant, Oculoplasty and Ocular Oncology Services in Netra Mandir Eye Hospital, Borivali, Visiting Oculoplasty consultant at Shri Ramlal Lokhandwala NetraMandir, Ankleshwar and Visiting Oculoplasty consultant at Jeevandeep Multispecialty Hospital, Vapi, Gujarat. She has to her credit numerous publications, oral and paper presentations, poster and video presentations. She has written book chapters and has won numerous awards and honours including “Best Outgoing Junior Resident Award” for the year 2009. She is also actively involved in teaching and research activities.

Consultant, Smt. Kanuri Santhamma Centre for Vitreo Retinal Diseases, LVPEI
Dr. Chhablani completed his clinical vitreo-retina fellowship from Sankara Nethralaya, Chennai. Before joining LVPEI, he was an International Council of Ophthalmology (ICO) fellow at Jules Gonin Eye Hospital, Switzerland, and later was associated as a Clinical Instructor with the Jacobs Retina Center at Shiley Eye Center, University of California, San Diego, USA. He is on the editorial board of many high impact opthalmology journals. His areas of interest are macular disorders and recent imaging techniques.

Dr. Sangwan's a practicing ophthalmologist at the L.V.Prasad Eye Institute (LVPEI). Dr. Sangwan is best known for having perfected a method of limbal stem cell culturing to produce transparent, stitchable epithelium and transplanting them on human patients. His work has been covered in nature protocols.

Ramesh Raskar is a professor at MIT Media Lab, he's worked on developing exciting technologies such as the EyeNETRA. He is leading the global health as well as medical tricorder efforts at MIT supported by the Tata Center for Technology+Design and MIT Media Lab. Recent inventions include cameras to look around a corner, a next-generation CAT-scan machine, and low-cost eye care devices (NETRA) among many others. He is currently co-authoring a book on computational photography. You may know him from his TED talks on Imaging at a trillion frames per second and his TEDMED talk.

Raghu is the Principal Investigator for the pipeline of products and solutions being created in the Center for Technology, Center for Ophthalmic Engineering and Center for Regenerative Medicine.
Prior to joining LVPEI, Raghu was a Quantitative Venture Capitalist & Portfolio Manager, making investments rooted in Deep Science such as Genomics, Extended Intelligence, Agtech, Robotics and the Tactile Internet. Before his career in Venture Capital, he worked in product development with DARPA, Apple, Adidas and Speedo.
