DR VIRENDER SANGWAN
Director, Center for Ocular Regeneration, LVPEI
Dr. Sangwan's a practicing ophthalmologist at the L.V.Prasad Eye Institute (LVPEI). Dr. Sangwan is best known for having perfected a method of limbal stem cell culturing to produce transparent, stitchable epithelium and transplanting them on human patients. His work has been covered in nature protocols.
PROF. RAMESH RASKAR
Associate Professor, MIT Media Lab
Ramesh Raskar is a professor at MIT Media Lab, he's worked on developing exciting technologies such as the EyeNETRA. He is leading the global health as well as medical tricorder efforts at MIT supported by the Tata Center for Technology+Design and MIT Media Lab. Recent inventions include cameras to look around a corner, a next-generation CAT-scan machine, and low-cost eye care devices (NETRA) among many others. He is currently co-authoring a book on computational photography. You may know him from his TED talks onImaging at a trillion frames per second and his TEDMED talk.
Director of Partnerships and Programs for the Emerging Worlds SIG, MIT Media Lab
Beth Zonis has over 25 years of experience in strategy, innovation, and communications. She has worked for several IT startups, IBM, and MIT. She founded and ran her own consulting firm, Eco Marketing. Prior to working with the Emerging Worlds team, she helped build the Center of Entrepreneurship and Innovation at Skoltech in Moscow, and she led communications for the Office of Digital Learning at MIT. She is strengthening the Emerging Worlds platform in India, enabling innovation hubs in new regions, and engaging new members. Beth is a mentor with the Cleantech Open and a Board Member of ACTION, an association of cleantech incubators. Beth holds a B.A. from Wellesley College, cum laude, in Political Science and French, and an MBA from Boston University. She speaks French and Spanish.
DR ANTHONY VIPIN DAS
Consultant Ophthalmologist, LVPEI
Dr Vipin is best known for building the eyeSmart EMR, an award-winning Electronic Medical Record and Hospital Management system which is operational across the entire LVPEI network. He's been named among the top 35 innovators under 35 years in the world on the 2012 list by MIT. He is a TED senior fellow.

Sandeep is a Mechanical Engineer from VIT Chennai. He is an innovation-technology enthusiast, with inclination towards design. His interests lie in developing eye care devices and frugal ways to manufacture them. He was part of the VIT university’s FSAE design team: Zuura Formula Racing.
An electronics engineer and an ultra-curious intrapreneur, with interests in the intersecting sets of Technology, Bio-Medical applications of Machine Learning, Social & Frugal Innovation, Education & Behavioural Economics. His work thus far has been majorly centred in the Med-Tech Innovation & Educational Development. At heart he's an explorer using his skills to facilitate change.
A biomedical engineer, with a master's degree from Johns Hopkins University and a bachelor's degree from SASTRA University. Her primary interest is designing and prototyping wearable/portable medical technologies for post-operative and post-discharge patient monitoring. She is also exploring the application of AR in medical education here at SIC.
Ashish is a recent graduate from MIT Institute of Design and works as an Industrial designer at Srujana Innovation Center. He is passionate about simplifying product and system interactions and hence create better user experiences.
Koteswararao is presently embedded applications engineer at the Srujana center for innovation, developing interface systems and applications. He is an electronics graduate form VIT Chennai and his interests are in image processing and 3-D Computational systems.

Dhruv is the former Technical Head at Srujana Center for Innovation, presently pursuing a graduate degree in Management Science and Engineering at Stanford University. He is a full-stack developer with a keen interest in how artificially intelligent systems will disrupt management and business processes in the future. Dhruv is extremely passionate about translating technologies out from the lab to improve the quality of life of the masses.

DR PREMNANDHINI SATGUNAM
Associate Research Optometrist, LVPEI
Premnandhini has worked as a postdoctoral fellow in the field of vision rehabilitation at Schepens Eye Research Institute, Harvard Medical School. Her current research interest at LV Prasad Eye Institute (LVPEI) is in the area of pediatric vision rehabilitation, visual development in children with vision impairment and binocular vision.
DR SHRIKANTH BHARADWAJ
Associate Director of Optometry, LVPEI
Dr Bharadwaj is a vision scientist at LV Prasad Eye Institute. His current research focuses on how infants, children and adults use their focusing and eye-alignment responses to achieve a clear and single vision and why some individuals develop abnormalities like eye-turn and lazy eye, while other age-matched controls do not.
DR pravin krishna vaddavalli
Director, Tej Kohli Cornea Institute, Head, Refractive Surgery, Cataract and Contact Lens Services, Consultant, Cornea & Anterior Segment Service, LVPEI
Dr Vaddavalli is an active member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Society for Cataract and Refractive Surgery, the International Society of Refractive Surgeons, the Cornea Society and the All India Ophthalmology Society and is founder, executive committee member of the Cornea Society of India. He has devised innovative modifications in lamellar keratoplasty and is involved in research projects in the field of keratoconus, lamellar keratoplasty and refractive surgery.
DR ASHUTOSH RICHHARIYA
Associate Director and Head, Institute of Translational Research Engineering and Advancement of Technology, LVPEI
A Nehru-Fulbright Scholar, Ashutosh was placed at The Ohio State University and The University of Rochester for research, before joining LVPEI. His interests are in the areas of Corneal Biomechanics, Finite Element Modeling and Optical Instrumentation.
DR nagaraju konda
Research Fellow UNSW & Vision Scientist, LVPEI
Dr Nagaraju Konda is a researcher, educator & innovator. He received the best outgoing student of the year award a gold medal for his undergraduate studies at Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University’s School of Optometry in year 2001. He has a Diploma in “Teaching in Higher Education” from Singapore Polytechnic, Singapore. He worked as a Researcher, Educator and Manager in the areas of optometry and Vision Science for various reputed organisations. Dr Konda has worked extensively in the area of Corneal Inflammation and Innate Immunity during his PhD at University of New South Wales, Sydney, Australia. He has presented and published his research work at various reputed conferences and journals. Dr. Konda received the best scientific paper award and various travel grants to present his work at international conferencesfor Rigid Gas Permeable Contact Lens Fitting in Keratoconus at the 6th National Congress of Optometry and Opticinary meet in Singapore. He is a recipient of prestigious Endeavor International postgraduate Research Scholarship (EIPRS) from Australian government for his post graduate studies. He is founding president of Alumni of L V Prasad Eye Institute Optometrists. His vast experience equipped him as an all-rounder for the eye care industry.
DR JAGADESH REDDY
Head of Cataract & Refractive Service, LVPEI
Dr Reddy currently heads the cataract and refractive services at LVPEI. He is also an Adjunct Asst. Prof. of Ophthalmology at School of Medicine and Dentistry, University of Rochester Medical Center, Rochester, New York. Jagadesh has presented several papers at various national and international forums. He is also the member of the Cornea Society which includes only top 150 corneal surgeons from across the world. His research interests lie in the areas of Laser Keratorefractive Surgery (LASIK,SMILE, PRK), Phakic IOLs (ICL), Laser Keratoplasty (PK, FALK, DALK), Lamellar Keratoplasty (DALK, DSAEK, DMEK), Femtosecond Laser Assisted Cataract Surgery (FLACS) and Premium IOLs (Toric, Multifocal, Extended Depth of Focus)
DR jay chhablani

Jay Chhablani completed his clinical vitreo-retina fellowship from Sankara Nethralaya, Chennai. Before joining LVPEI as a faculty in 2012, he was an International Council of Ophthalmology (ICO) fellow at Jules Gonin Eye Hospital, Switzerland, and later was associated as a Clinical Instructor with the Jacobs Retina Center at Shiley Eye Center, University of California, San Diego, USA. His areas of interest are macular disorders and recent imaging techniques. He has published several articles in peer-reviewed journals with specific emphasis in field of choroid. He is on the reviewing boards of all high impact ophthalmology journals. Dr Chhablani is on the editorial board of Indian Journal of Ophthalmology, PLOS One, BMC Ophthalmology and Clinical Ophthalmology. He is member of Global ONE network committee of American Academy of Ophthalmology. Jay has to his credit several reputed national and international awards, and also has the honour of delivering the inaugural Ian Constable Lecture at the Asia-Pacific Vitreo-Retina Society meet on his work on intravitreal ziv-aflibercept therapy..
